Period tracking product and app
This is a device for storing sanitary napkins and automatically recording menstrual periods.
It provides a dry environment for storing sanitary napkins, and has a carry-on bag to help users carry the appropriate number of sanitary napkins.
The device can sense the number of sanitary napkins inside to remind users to buy them in time, and sense whether the bag has been taken away to automatically record menstrual periods.
The Shell
Smoking areas using upcycled waste
The Shell is a smoking chamber with a zeolite filter. Its zeolite is upcycled from CFA, a waste product from thermal power plants. Because CFA contains heavy metals, it is currently not well-reused. The characteristics and manufacturing process of zeolite can be used to upcycle CFA and solve the conflict between smokers and non-smokers in public places.
Booboo
A community service system
Booboo is a community system that utilizes vermicomposting to enhance soil quality and promote the growth of bamboo. Villagers are encouraged to collect Coal Fly Ash (Earnings from daily coal usage), poo, and organic matter to maintain a clean environment and provide nutrients for earthworms. The profits from the bamboo sales will be used to develop the community and reward villagers.
Bamboo
A sustainable dog toy
Bamboo is an environmentally friendly dog toy. It is made from bamboo, which is biodegradable and has a short-growing cycle.
The hollow structure makes it a food-leaking toy, and the disc at the bottom makes it rotate like a tumbler to attract dogs, and allows the dog's paws to hold it.
Bamboo allows owners who don’t have enough energy to play with their dogs to take a break and let their dogs entertain themselves.
Toco
Hot pot series for visual impired people
Toco includes an entire product line aimed at making cooking safer and more enjoyable for people with visual impairments. Included in the set are a hotpot, a cutting board, and four baskets, which are all connected through common touch points and magnets.
The unique blue color enhances the ability of low vision users to distinguish handles and the timer. To improve manufacturability, all components were designed with mass production fabrication in mind.
White Tiger
Sneaker designed based on the Wuxing
“White Tiger” is a pair of women’s sneakers I designed for Josiny, with the topic of Wuxing (Five elements) in Chinese culture.
Metal represents solidness, value, and beauty, while the white tiger symbolizes bravery and strength. Both are viewed as positive forces. The white tiger has a feline, elegant body shape, from which we draw inspiration for our shoe. The tiger is also represented on the sole and has no random fur. Therefore, the body of our shoe is clean and white. The red accessories represent blood.
Joy Rain
A service design with shared-umbrella
"Joy Rain" is a shared umbrella service system designed for Wenzhou-Kean University, aiming to provide emergency assistance to users in sudden weather changes and solve their urgent needs. The current shared umbrellas used by the school have no protection system and are prone to being lost or taken away privately. However, the rental system of this project effectively solves the problems of loss, forgetting, and theft.
Oh! Shit!!!
Products designed for toilet experience
This project was developed for the College of Architecture and Design at Wenzhou-Kean University to improve restroom hygiene. Inspired by the traditional Chinese concept of the “Nine Sons of the Dragon,” it features nine cartoon-style mythical creatures. One of the products in the project is a switch board, which is attached to the outside of each restroom stall door. Users can slide it to display different mythical creature states, signaling to the next user whether the stall is clean. The other is a period mutual-aid box, mounted on the wall at the restroom entrance, allowing users to interact with it to take or place sanitary napkins.
